What should an aerospace-component enquiry include?
Send the 3D model, current dimensioned drawing and parts list. Include material grade, quantities, finish, critical dimensions, intended use and any required inspection or documentation. Complete, consistent files help us review and quote more accurately.
Can CK review prototypes, tooling and small batches?
Yes. Share the purpose of the part, such as a fit check, engineering trial, assembly fixture or test-rig component. Custom one-off parts and small batches can be reviewed against your drawing and specification.
When should metal printing and CNC be reviewed together?
Consider both routes when complex geometry also needs controlled bores, threads, datums or mating surfaces. Identify the features requiring secondary machining and allow access and machining stock in the design.
How should we specify materials and surface treatments?
Use the exact material grade and treatment specification required by your design. Include any heat-treatment, coating, surface-finish or masking requirements, together with the records needed for acceptance.
Can we request dimensional reports and material records?
Include the required report format, characteristics to be measured and material-documentation scope in your enquiry. The available evidence and any traceability requirements are confirmed during quotation.
What information is needed for flight-use components?
State the intended use, applicable specifications, supplier-approval requirements, inspection scope and qualification or acceptance testing. Required manufacturing controls and approvals must be confirmed before an order is accepted.
