JOINT HOUSINGS / CONNECTIONS

Shoulder & arm components

Review actuator housings, joint covers and mounting brackets around the loads and interfaces defined in your drawing.

Application examples guide the discussion. Geometry, grade and specification determine what can be manufactured.

THE MANUFACTURING ROUTE

Complex geometry.
Controlled interfaces.

Plan printing and machining around the finished component, with inspection and finishing requirements defined at quotation.

02 / CNC MACHINING

Machine the features that fit.

Specify bearing seats, mounting faces, datums, threads and mating features. Choose standalone CNC machining or a printed body with critical features machined afterwards.

Talk with the CK team →
Can CK help manufacture the complete robot?

This page focuses on custom component manufacturing. Discuss housings, brackets, interfaces and other drawing-defined parts with CK.

Should I choose metal printing or CNC machining?

Share the geometry, material, quantity and intended use. Complex geometry may favour metal printing, while accessible drawing-defined features may favour CNC. A printed body can also include CNC-machined critical interfaces.

What should I include for joint housings and mating parts?

Send the 3D model and controlled drawing. Identify bearing seats, mating surfaces, threads, datums, finish requirements and any dimensions that must apply after finishing. Include loads or assembly requirements relevant to the component review.

Can I start with a prototype or a small batch?

Yes. Send the part list, quantities and drawing revision. CK reviews feasibility, inspection requirements, pricing and lead time for the specific project before confirming the order.

How are tolerance and lead-time requirements confirmed?

Send the controlled drawing, exact material, quantity and requested delivery date. CK confirms feasible tolerances, inspection scope and lead time in the quotation. Identify which dimensions apply after finishing and which features control assembly.
