Choose the finishing route with your material, cosmetic surfaces and functional requirements in mind. CK will review the finish and inspection scope with your drawing.

Support removal
Prepare the printed part for the agreed finishing route. Identify cosmetic faces and thin features before support removal.

Heat treatment / stress relief
Review the exact engineering polymer and required material condition. Confirm the thermal cycle and dimensional acceptance requirements before quotation.

This is a process-specific shortlist, not a finishing package. Read each material condition; not every option applies to every grade. The quotation defines the agreed operations.

Is every listed operation suitable for every FDM material?
No. The exact grade, geometry, surface access and intended use determine suitability. This is a process-specific shortlist, not an automatic finishing package. The quotation confirms the agreed operations.
Are these images an acceptance standard?
No. Agree a representative physical sample when appearance is critical.
Can sanding remove every visible layer line?
The target appearance must be agreed for the exact material and geometry. Accessible cosmetic surfaces can be discussed, but do not assume a uniform polished result on every face.
What should I send with my enquiry?
Send the model, any controlled drawing and a parts list. Include the exact material, quantity, target appearance, colour reference, masked areas and critical dimensions.
Can finishing change the dimensions?
Material removal, coating buildup and thermal processing may affect features. Specify whether acceptance dimensions apply before or after finishing, and identify protected bores, threads and mating faces.
Can I combine more than one operation?
Discuss the complete route with CK. Compatibility and sequence are reviewed for the selected material, surfaces and required result.
Can I approve a sample before production?
Request a representative sample at quotation when colour, gloss or texture is important. The scope, cost and timing are agreed for your project.
